Full Program?
Align -> Write & Edit -> Publish, Launch, & Market. = $25,000.
+ $1,000 in misc. publishing expenses, and if applicable, + $.08/word for developmental edits, and then audiobook costs. See example below.
Phase 1?
Align = $3,000. 1-month.
Phase 2?
Write & Edit = Unavailable “separately.”
Phase 3?
Publish, Launch, & Market = $15,000. 3-4 months.
+ $1,000 in misc. publishing expenses, and if applicable, audiobook costs.
Full program example
There’s about $1,000 in misc. publishing expenses (ISBNs, Barcodes, Copyright, Shipping Fees & Proofs, Advanced Reader/Author Copies, etc.)
I’ll work with you to align your book and guide you through the writing and editing. The book comes out to be 50,000 words and needs a developmental edit ($.08/word * 50,000 words = $4,000).
Then, you’d like to record your own audio book at a local studio. Studio time can cost anywhere from $30 - $200/hour. You’ll need post production. Billed at a per finished hour rate, which can range from $75 - $200/hour. Assuming a central cost ($100 for both) with a 50,000 word book, means you’ll spend about $1,500 on your audiobook.
In total: $25,000 (my fee) + $1,000 (misc. expenses) + $4,000 (developmental editor) + $1,500 (audiobook) = $31,500.
